today

in a world where everything from "reality" to "friends" to "love" is available online and on cable, many people are more disconnected from one another than ever before, because they have no real, physical, meaningful relationships. they are actually sitting alone with an electric box (and yes, i do see the irony of me writing this on that very box, but so be it.) i do not need this "reality." but all things have a balance.

this is my way of fighting the disconnect, using it to Be connected to those i know- those care to know- face to face.

so to you real people i actually know, i am writing this to tell you that you have had an Impact on my life in one way or another, and i want to say thank you for that. however small or significant it may have been, it has led me, us, here.
with all of the things that have happened in the past few months, i have been given just a hair of perspective- i do not believe that people are put into one another's lives without purpose. i don't believe in total destiny, but i do believe we're meant to affect and learn from one another. so thank you for being part of that for me. there are so many of us on this planet now, that those few who are in are lives cannot be so for mere chance.

and granted, i'm known to get wide.eyed when the weather warms up, as everyone's face shines beautifully with sweat and light, but in any case...

may your lives be wonderful and free and where-ever you are in your world, do not give up. nothing is hopeless; we must hope for everything.
