oops

i knew i'd do this- i totally misfiled a picture!
i wore this to my brother's rehearsal dinner- evening before the wedding- d'oh! with a picture a day, being one off was bound to happen eventually... my apologies. however! i have been remembering to take pictures of my bags with my outfits. woohoo!

statement sequins? yes, please!

mod cloth dress and massino shoes. hand me down clutch (or small tote, as you see here). this dress makes me wish i had purple shoes...

day 46

LOVE this gifted purple bag and target top, because the purse has a bit of a surprise inside...

woohoo! red inside. the shoes i'm wearing are red, too, but for some reason they came out really dark in this picture. they're Steve Madden mary janes.

day 47
proud of loud.

thrifted flags shirt, white/black pants, red cowgirl boots, and one. loud. purse.

yep, it's solid silver canvas with multicolored differently sized plastic jewels. go big, or go home, as Dolly says. i got this from the gift shop in the art gallery i worked in after college. ridiculous? yes. unnecessary? yes. and it's one of my favorites. people either love it or hate it, but naturally, it's my love of it that matters. <3

day 48
ever wanted a shirt that looks like newspaper? well i did, and i found one. woohoo!

paired with kiss purse, mary janes, and a red necklace from M. it's a carved wooden piece with some characters in it, as you can see. i have no idea what this symbol means... if anyone knows, please tell me! she has one that matches it.

 muah!

also, science experiment alert! the bracelet i'm wearing was my grandmother's. it's a very simple, thin silver cuff. it very old and was rather tarnished, and i read online that one can polish silver with toothpaste. well, guess what? IT WORKS! i was skeptical, but tried it, and it worked perfectly! shiny 65 year old cuff? check.

I love how yours purse matches the print on your shirt in the first picture. It's really cool how you did that. Thanks for the comment on my blog! :)

This closet challenge has really turned up some great looks! I've never seen that dress with the accent sequin flower before, but it's really elegant.

What fun looks!! :D
(I really only like one Mariah Carey Christmas song, and I've never heard of the other person...but I'm sure I've heard some on the radio and not known it, haha)

So many outfits, so many compliments to give you! I love that you show your bags in these shots! I try to always do it, too, but sometimes it's hard to remember the bag when I'm also trying to pose, not laugh, not die of shame (when some rando stranger walks by and sees me taking photos of myself) etc.
The newsprint shirt is interesting and lively. Do people try to "read" you when they're standing next to you?
Oh, and I'm on my way to wardrobe to search for you. Friends, yay!

Thanks for the comment!! I foudn that coat at Ross last summer - weird but fits well, so I can't complain!

I love when purses (and coats) have a fun color or pattern inside. You may be the only person who know about it, but still fun!

Yay for purple bags and sequins!!

Many thanks for your kind words on my brooch bouquet. Ironically I attempted to make one out of paper too but it came out looking like an elementary school craft project so that went swiftly by the wayside.... :)
